My Story

I’m Brittany and I am so glad you're here! I am a wife and busy mom of two little girls. My journey into all things macros started several years ago. I was a full time teacher and my girls were toddlers at the time. I had a hard time dropping baby weight after my second daughter so I decided to start counting calories. I was eating extremely low calories, doing daily heavy cardio workouts, and not really seeing a lot of progress. I tried many of the fad diets and could not sustain lasting results because they were so restrictive. As you can imagine, this roller coaster got old, fast.
Fast forward a couple years and I started to focus more on my “macros” not just calories. I started really looking at what was in the food I was eating and how it affected my body. I was still up and down on a roller coaster because I found it difficult to constantly track what I was eating and would find myself in back in that mindset that low calories mean weight loss. My calories still were not where they needed to be so I was continuing to severely undereat. The constant under eating was leading me to binge eating on the weekends with an attitude of “screw it, I’m not making progress anyway, I’ll start over on Monday”.
In the last couple of years I have started to heavily strength train, realize that our bodies need way more food than we think it does, and really prioritize the protein, carbs, and fat I am I eating. This has led me to you! I want nothing more than to help other busy women (and men) see that you can find freedom in eating the things you love while still prioritizing the food you need to function at your best while also looking your best!
